With more than 27 years of experience in public, public charter and private K-8 education and eight years teaching future educators at a college, I partner with small schools to strengthen instruction, engage students, and support academic excellence rooted in the belief that each child can reach their potential. I am also the author of the award-winning children’s book Big Cat, Little Fox.
I believe every child. Is uniquely created with gifts, talents, and purpose. My goal is to further equip administrators and teachers in supporting students to become their best by being who they are created to be.

Professional Learning and School Support
Strengthen teaching, learning, and student success with customized professional learning and school support. Drawing on her experience as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, college instructor, and educational consultant, Cheryl partners with school leaders to provide professional development, instructional coaching, curriculum review, data analysis, and student support systems. Every service is tailored to your school’s goals, equipping educators with practical strategies that make a lasting impact.
Author Visits
School visits are customized to meet the students’ needs and your schedule, typically lasting about 30 minutes. Through an engaging, interactive read-aloud of Big Cat, Little Fox, Cheryl builds social-emotional learning, early literacy, vocabulary, prediction, and other grade-level skills using props, music, and movement. She can also discuss creative writing and the publishing process upon request. With years of experience in elementary education, Cheryl tailors each presentation to create a meaningful and memorable learning experience for every audience.
Family Engagement for Schools & Libraries
Cheryl brings families together for a fun and memorable reading experience! Library programs and school Family Night events feature the interactive storytelling of Big Cat, Little Fox, where children and their families laugh, move, sing, and participate in the adventure together. Designed for all ages—with a special focus on elementary-aged children—these engaging events foster a love of reading while unleashing the power within to be your best!
